Research

I'm interested in feminist geopolitics, queer theory, and Haitian geographies. Using queer theory, my doctoral research will examine how immigration categories/statuses spatially and temporally organize "foreign" bodies to determine who belongs and who is excluded. I suggest that these immigration categories produce "queer temporalities" for those living with them. I focus on Haitians living with temporary protected status in Kentucky.
